Norah's Birth Story - Part Three

Part Three

We kept going. The heart monitor was not doing its job while I moved around. I was getting pretty annoyed about having to wear it and didn’t mind much when it dropped out but the doctors were getting antsy. Each time I had a contraction I would move and the monitor would cut out making it look like a dip in the heart rate. They started talking about putting a clip on our little ones head. That did it for me. I remembered the same thing happening with Lucy and it was the worst pain I have ever experienced. The stubborn angry lady came out of me. I declared I would not be having the clip and made up my mind to do each contraction standing. (The best position for the monitor.) I longed to lean over the bed or the balance ball or just crawl into a corner but I just couldn’t bring myself to have that clip. I laboured on growing more and more tired but finding the energy to work through each contraction.

Myles was amazing. We talked before this day about what I would like him to do and as I went through it all he was so good at meeting my requests. We spent many contractions staring into each other’s eyes, breathing together. It was all very Ina May. I’m so glad we got to labour together. I think it really strengthened our marriage no matter how hard the following hours would be.

The contractions were coming quickly. I was breathing and moving through them but had barely any time to rest in between. I was getting excited. Having not been through labour before I thought that this must be what it is like. I was sure I’d be at least eight centimetres dilated. But at 2am another check told me I was only three, maybe four centimetres and still barely effaced.

I was exhausted. Physically and mentally. For almost two whole days I had been gearing up to have this baby. I’d been totally absorbed in getting labour going and after nine hours on the drip I was chugging along very slowly. I’d been standing up for the last five or so hours. I’d been pleading with my body to let my baby out and it just wasn’t working.

The doctors came in a number of times telling me what I already knew. They wanted to take me to surgery. Our girl wasn’t distressed but she also wasn’t budging. My contractions, though they were coming close together were not particularly strong. I could have slapped the doctor when he told me I didn’t look like the contractions were uncomfortable. “This is what nine months of training for a calm birth get you!” I should have yelled. But he meant well.

I’d been texting my mum through the whole process. She was at home with Lucy. She gave me so much encouragement. It felt like having her in the room not just receiving her texts but remembering all the words she has spoken to me in my pregnancy and in my life. What a blessing to grow up with a midwife mother. She taught me about birth, about how to prepare yourself and deal with the marathon of labour. She taught me about natural childbirth and how to stick up for your rights as a pregnant woman. Though she was looking after my firstborn she was right there with me in the wisdom she embedded in my heart and soul. She is the reason I knew I had to fight for my natural birth. I knew I would have to exhaust every option so that I would feel empowered about my birth experience the next day.

I collapsed into Myles arms. So much of me wanted to give up. But I knew that I had to give my all. I had to know that I did all I could do. So I asked for more time.

They gave me two hours. I could go for a caesarean now or in two hours. It didn’t seem like very long and in fact it wasn’t. During the two hours they kept checking and checking. Nothing improved. The decision was taken out of my hands. I would go in for surgery again.

It took longer this time than with Lucy. Because our girl wasn’t distressed they had more time.  I signed the form and the midwives prepped me for surgery. They took out my drip and I sat down. It felt so good to sit down. The contractions all but stopped. Another blow. It was all the drugs. My body hadn’t taken over. Myles and I chatted. Despite the disappointment in my body it was pretty exciting. We would see our little girl soon. By hook or by crook she’d be out soon. I couldn’t wait to meet her.
Off to surgery I went on my stretcher bed with my chin held high. It was all very casual and friendly. The surgeons made jokes as they wheeled me in. Nice ones. It was the most familiar part of my labour so far. Once again I surrendered my body to the hospital machine. I sat up on the bed while they put in the spinal block. The anaesthetist took a good few goes to get it in. I began to feel very nervous. I tried not to think about the knife or the needle for that matter. My body went numb, they called Myles in and began.

In high tradition Myles and I sung our little girl into the world. Lord of Lords, Let the Weak Say I Am Strong, Jesus Paid it All. My voice was weak but my heart was willing. Myles will tell you I seemed quite out of it. I think after all that time I was just happy for the lie down.

After what seemed like not long at all I heard that blessed sound. Our girls first cry. She was gurgling and spluttering a bit. A bit of something had gone down the wrong pipe. But she was out! My heart filled up and ran over. There is no sweeter noise. Myles went over to cut the cord and then brought our girl straight over to me. We had told the doctors that I wanted skin to skin straight away. They had laid all the dressings so that we could.

My Norah girl was put on my tummy and there we lay looking at one another. She was a dark purply pink colour and had a thick mop of black hair. She was covered in gloop but she was mine. My sweet girl. It was just after four in the morning. The twenty first of March.

She nosed around for a while and then leapt her way over to her first feed. They took us up into recovery and then to my room. I had lost a fair bit of blood in the operation but didn’t need a transfusion. We settled in to our shared room and Myles fell asleep on the floor. The sun came up on Norah’s birthday and I held her in my arms so glad that she had come safely into the world.

Norah's Birth Story - Part Two

Part Two

It had been a long day. It was thirty-one hours since my water had broken and I still wasn’t in labour.  Our appointment at 1:30 was to listen to Norah’s heartbeat to make sure she wasn’t in distress. We headed to the place where they do ultrasounds and I was hooked up to the heart rate monitor. She was beating a little fast so we started singing again and I turned on my side. That seemed to calm things down a bit.

Despite all the drama it was so great to spend all this time with Myles. We spent a lot of time just chatting. In between all the bits and pieces there was a lot of waiting. Waiting for doctors, waiting for heart rates, walking to and from the hospital. We chatted about all kinds of things. Baby things and life things. It was nice to take my mind off worrying. We joked around and kept things light. It was nice.
They gave us the ok and we headed down to the birth centre. Back into the room we went and the midwife came to check. My contractions had all but stopped and any that came weren’t strong. It wasn’t a good sign.

So we had the chat. The midwife gave me my options. Because of all the other factors they were a bit worried. I could go straight to surgery, have an induction or keep waiting. I wanted to give it my best shot. I decided to induce. It seemed that if our girl hadn’t come after more than 24 hours it was unlikely she would come without a bit of extra help. This meant once more leaving the birth centre. A familiar path to tread.

Off we went to settle in. We dimmed the lights and put on our music. We made our little room our home. We met our midwife who was lovely and the same age as me. She told me I would need to be monitored the whole time and that the wireless monitor was not available. Oh. I asked if I could have it as soon as it was figuring that with a non existent first time labour and a twelve hour induction timeline I would be there for a while. Our girl was doing well. Heartbeat normal but happy to stay inside.

A nurse came in to put my canula in for the drip. She tried my left arm and missed. Of all the needles you can get, this is not a particularly nice one and when it goes in wrong it hurts like billy-o. I practiced my calm birth. Easy breathing, stay calm. The nurse went to get someone else. A doctor came in to have a go. Bingo, in it went but when the midwife flushed it with water my arm started to swell up. She’d got it in my tissue. Weirdest feeling ever. Easy breathing, stay calm. I was starting to get nervous and we hadn’t even begun. Another spot on my arm, another bruise, another doctor and it went in. They gave me some fluids and said they’d be back with the induction drip.

Myles and I chatted and hung about. We listened to Norah Jones and sung along. They started the drip at about 5pm. Here we go. The contractions came slowly. We could watch them on the machine. The numbers went high when the contraction came and back down as it faded away. Up to 20 and down. Up to 30 and down. They were really gentle. The midwife mentioned something about a gown and I ignored her. I had this I thought. I was standing and swaying and dancing and breathing to practice for when they became more intense. After about an hour I decided to lie down and rest. I was in for a long night.

When I was lying down the heart monitor started to loose the plot. The monitor is a couple of big plastic disks they place on your tummy. Every time I moved they seemed to loose position causing the machine to stop reading our little ones heartbeat. Most of me did not care a toss. I resented the continuous monitoring but the doctors needed to make sure she was ok because a dip in heart rate is the first sign of uterine rupture. The contractions started to get stronger and the monitor was flipping out. My nap was short lived. I couldn’t lie down anymore. I had to get moving.

The hours passed by so quickly. All of a sudden it was 9pm. I had been working hard, breathing and moving. Our midwife has said she would come in at nine and see how far I had progressed. It was the moment I had been waiting for.

I was to be disappointed. I was only two centimetres dilated and barely effaced. On top of all that, the midwife thought that part of the waters hadn’t broken and said she would need to manually break them. It felt like a kick in the guts. I’d been working hard and my body was just not doing it for me. I felt exhausted and imagined the hours that stretched ahead of me. If four hours meant two centimetres then I supposed it would take me another day to get to ten. My confidence began to waver but I’d read the books where marvellous speedy dilations happened. I kept telling myself that my body knew what to do, just go with it, trust the process.

I promise the next one will be up very soon.

2 - thirty nine (bit late)

So... lets just pretend you stepped into a time machine and I haven't birthed Norah yet. Here's my 39 week update. It was to sad to let it not be posted even if it is about five weeks late.

feeling

pretty perky but pretty keen to meet this kiddo. she keeps doing sneaky things like turning around to almost posterior which freaks me out.
i still resemble a stranded whale when i get up in the morning but still have ankle definition so that's a win.
Starting to feel the baby pressure. So many people due after me are having their babies. Really not looking forward to 40+ weeks.

doing

lots of stuff on hands and knees to combat the sneaky baby. Scrubbing the floors and playing duplo. The only thing is when I do it when Lucy is around she thinks it's time to play "horseeee!"
Going for brisk walks and those kinds of things but trying not to try too hard. She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes.

Thinking

I hope this is my last weekly post. There are things I love about being pregnant but going overdue aint one of them.

Norah's Birth Story : Part One

We were feeling ready for our girl to come. The house had been scrubbed from top to bottom, the fridge was full of food, and I was feeling calm and focused.
I woke up at six a.m on Tuesday the 19th needing to go to the bathroom only to discover that my waters were breaking. My first thought was fear. It was happening the same as last time. This time however there was no merconium in the water. Good news. But still, broken water and no labour was a foreboding sign.
I rang my mum. My first port of call. She was reassuring and said she was on her way. A three hour trip. We then rang the birth centre. A few weeks before I had found out I had Group B Strep. I needed to take antibiotics when either labour started or my water broke. The midwife told us to come in and we called Uncle Ben to look after Lucy. He arrived while she was still asleep and Myl and I walked over to the birth centre.
As we walked I willed labour to start. Every twinge was exciting as I thought it could be a contraction. I had to stop a few times to breathe through a tightening.
We got to the birth centre and were shown to a room. They checked Norahs heartbeat and all was ok. Then they got down to business. Because of my previous Caesarean and Group B Strep I was in a pretty abnormal situation. Usually waters break after established labour has begun but in my case they didn’t. I would need to get into labour soon or interventions would need to happen.
Just to make sure everything was all ok they had me go over to the delivery ward to monitor Norahs heartbeat. I was hooked up to a machine for about twenty minutes. Myl and I sung her songs. Her heartbeat stayed nice and steady when we sung low songs and skipped a little higher when the notes were high. It was nice to see her in there happy and safe. I talked to my little girl, told her it was ok and that we were looking forward to meeting her however she came but that it would be super nice if it were soon.
All of a sudden a team of doctors and midwives entered the room. I was introduced to the obstetrician, a man whose name was on my hospital stickers but whom I had never met. He was very charming. He informed me of the multitude of risks to do with my situation and strongly suggested I stay in the delivery ward and (in so many words) have an elective Caesarian. I thanked him for his concern but told him I knew what I was doing, had done a lot of reading and was comfortable with my decision to continue attempting a VBAC.
It all felt so familiar. Things were not happening according to “plan” again. This time, however I felt empowered and educated. I knew my options might be and I knew that I wanted to try my very best for a VBAC. I asked what they were willing to let me do. The midwife told me I would need to start taking antibiotics and then come see them every 24 hours till labour started and became established. I told the midwife I was keen to give it a day but that I didn’t want to put Norah at risk of infection much longer than that. I thought I’d give it my best shot to get into labour and then deal with interventions the next day.  The midwife went away to discuss things with the midwife on charge and came back with an appointment made for 1:30 the next day to discuss induction or caesarian.
My mind was focused on the 36 or so hours ahead. I didn’t want to think about induction till it was necessary. In my mind I was sure labour would start in the next little while and our girl would be here very soon.
I was dosed up with antibiotics and sent home. We decided to start operation “have a baby.” I walked vigorously home and tried to will my body into labour. We got home and said hello to Lucy. She was reading books with Uncle Ben and had been watching Narnia. A little while later Mum turned up. She had gotten here very quickly. We decided the best course of action was to get walking and try to get the contractions to start.
We walked down the road to the Broadway shops. I was having contractions  about every ten minutes. They weren’t strong but they were exciting. We got to the shops and had some lunch. I had a bowl of duck laksa. Apparently the duck was a good choice for before having a baby mum said. We walked around the shops for a bit and bought some last minute baby supplies.
I had to go back to the hospital to pick up some antibiotics at four so we walked along Parramatta rd and up to the hospital. I was feeling pretty tired. The contractions had stopped at lunch time and hadn’t really properly started up again. The walk helped but I was starting to feel a little worried. We picked up the pills and headed home.
I put Lucy to bed thinking that it might be the last time I saw her before Norah arrived, hoping. We sat down to watch Brothers and Sisters, the latest tv series we were watching on TV. It was beautiful distraction. I sat facing backwards on a dining room chair trying to get contractions going and they did. I had some really lovely strong ones. It was getting promising. Ten minutes apart, eight minutes, ten, six. They kept on all the rest of the evening and at 10pm we decided to go to bed and get some rest. The contractions stopped. I slept till 3am.
They had started up but not properly. I dozed on and off till about 7 when Lucy woke up. We had breakfast and walked down the road to pick up a parcel from the post office. I couldn’t get the contractions to start up again. They were few and far between. I was feeling pretty sad but there was really no more I could do. I was walking and thinking about flowers opening and helpful things like that but it was no use.
We went for a coffee and then headed home. We were due at the hospital at 1pm so we just hung about at home and I rested up. I was sure to be in for a whole lot of something in the next few hours.

Feeling

Like a ticking time bomb. It's all getting really close and I don't deal well with unknowns.
I'm so full of baby right now. My pelvis is sore and I don't bend like I used to.

Doing

Not a whole lot of sleeping. It feels like it takes forever to get to sleep and I'd like to stay in bed all morning.
Still haven't properly packed my bag but it's still two weeks to go. I'm trying to make the decision of whether I want to go into labour now or later. Not that it makes much of a difference but I'm feeling fairly content to be pregnant.
Myl is crazy busy over the next few weeks so having a baby could either add to the crazy or mean that he can abdicate all responsibility.

Thinking

When will you come baby? I'm super keen to meet you.

feeling

pretty pregnant. Sweltering in the humidity and I think I felt myself waddle a little today. I'm having to be really careful with what I eat or the dreaded heartburn ruins my sleep. It's getting tricky to lift Lucy without feeling as though I'll drop my uterus which makes it really hard when she puts her hands in the air and says "tuddle."
Can't complain too much. Most days I still have ankles and am not stranded on the floor if I get down to play duplo.

doing

I actually started packing my bags yesterday and then realised we are going away this weekend and will need the bags. Uhhhh.
I'm practicing my breathing techniques and reading the psychedelic birth stories in Ina May Gaskins "Spiritual Midwifery."
I've also hit the nesting hard. I can't sit still. I find myself straightening everything and sweeping a few times a day.

thinking

I'm thirty seven weeks which means full term. Half of me thinks "bring on the baby" and then I freak because I don't feel quite ready and also because I could get to forty one weeks like last time.

dear smalls

hey there little baby
how's it all going in there?

I haven't written to you much this pregnancy but I
just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how
much we are all looking forward to your arrival.

You have a big sister out here who is getting
pretty keen.
You've probably heard her constant singing
and chattering from in there. She gives you so
many kisses and cuddles and knows exactly
where her "baby warwar" is.
I'm trying to teach her about what it will be like
when you get here and the other day when
I asked her what we will do with our baby
she said "very gentle." So here's hoping.

Your dada keeps telling me how excited he
is about you.
Take it from me, your dada looks great with
a baby in his arms and I'm looking forward
to watching.

I've been feeling your kicks getting stronger
and watching you move around in my belly
and little girl, I'm so keen to meet you.
I want to look into your eyes and tell you I'm
your mama. I want to kiss your sweet cheeks
and smell your sweet baby smell.

Only a little while longer small one.

Love Mama.

We took this weeks photos next to the elephants at the zoo. I thought it would make me look good. Ya know, in comparison.

Feeling

Pregnant. My energy drains fast and heartburn is a pretty regular occurrence. I can't even drink oj.
However, my feet are not so puffy and I'm still wearing my wedding ring. Small wins.

Doing

Trying to survive sans toddler nap. Myl goes back to college on Monday. Heaven help us.
It's really doing me in.
Went to Priceline and bought all my baby needs. Ahh breast pads how I forgot about you.

Thinking

Six weeks is an incredibly short amount of time.

Also, if you were wondering what Lu is doing in the photo she is being a monkey. Possibly a big dada monkey or a baby monkey. The zoo was pretty awesome.

smalls up close

There are so many moments where it is clear that Smalls is the second child.
I can't help but feel a little bad but I'm sure there will be many more.

This is one of those moments.
Over a month after they were taken, here are Smalls' ultrasound shots.

Just in case it is hard to tell...
1. Our sweet little girl in profile complete with nose which looks more Myl than Rin.
2. A little bottom and spine.
3. A fair dinkum thumbs up. Must be nice in there.

feeling

Back to my old self. Thankfully my pelvis is back to normal. It could have been so so much worse. I'm thankful that it fixed up in about a day. I'm getting to be a big ole pregnant lady who needs to sit down and have drinks of water all the time.
I can no longer eat fatty or spicy foods. The heartburn is not worth it and my thighs are thanking me.

doing

Swimming! What a joy. Not only does it cool me down but it makes me light as a feather.
We were at home for a day and a half this week and I started chipping away at the ice in the freezer and reorganising the dvds. Chirp chirp.

thinking

About labour. Must. Think. About. Labour. I would really like to be prepared especially as we're shooting for a VBAC. I think it's mostly about getting my head in the game, preparing for a long first timey labour and keeping as fit and healthy as I can. Oh, also fending off the doctors who may try to sneak me into having an unnecessary caesarian. Piece of cake right?

I'm also looking at my weekly photos with Lucy and finding it hard to believe I am THAT far along.

feeling

This baby is moving! I'm feeling knees and elbows all over my tummy. It moves and jiggles. Some would call it freaky but I kinda like it.
I'm not feeling the heat as much as I thought I would. Sure, It's hot but I'm not up to the cold bath stage yet.
I'm starting to feel a bit huge. I remember from last time wishing I could just squish my ball of a tummy back in there somehow and that feeling is coming back again.

doing

Keeping busy. We have family to see and Christmas to prepare for. I've got all my appointments booked till march.
I'm starting to really think about and prepare for labour.

thinking

About life with two. There are definitely things that will need to change. Our days will become more structured and at home I'm guessing. I'll need to set up things for lu to do while I bf smalls. I can't imagine what Sundays will look like. Eeeep!
We've been visiting my sister and her baby and I forgot how all consuming a newborn is. It's going to be lovely but I'm expecting not to do more than baby loving for a while.

feeling

pretty good. hard to know if the soreish hips are a result of sleeping 4cm from the ground all week or having a baby the size of a mango inbetween said hips.
noticing i have to be careful with spicy food. heartburn is a killer.
feeling less agile and less stable on unstable places like slimy rockpools at the beach. having to figure out where my new centre of balance is but it's probably better to just avoid potentially life threatening balance situations.

also, my tummy looks very big in these photos. it's a bit misleading. it's not that huge...yet.

doing

still sleeping on my back at times. camping for the last five days hasn't been awful but wasn't as comfy as my bed at home. Sometimes my back had to do and for now it seems to work ok. Last time I was freaked out about sleeping on my back but I think it's only important a bit later on...?
mum asked me when my next ante-natal appointment is. i have no idea. better book one. classic second child syndrome.

thinking

about becoming an aunty. my sister is going to have her baby any day now and i'm very excited to meet my little niece or nephew. i keep checking my phone to see if i've gotten a call.

apologies for the out-of-focus(ness) of the photos. I'd blame the photographer but he's too handsome.

wow they really are quite fuzzy.

feeling

emotional. boy oh boy I've been crying at everything. Mostly just the sad things though. Show me a rom-com and I'm gone.
I'm feeling bigger and noticing the change in my centre of gravity. Last time the bigness just made me want to sit around eating chicken nuggets but now I'm using it as an excuse to go for a walk.
Also feeling glad that this spring has me wearing long sleeves and stockings. I can wait for the steaming hot days.

doing

we had our ultrasound on Thursday and found out the gender of our little smalls. More on that later. I'd like to make a sweet little announcement video.
We're also on holidays which is very exciting. We are going to spend next week camping on the central coast. It will be great having Myl around.

thinking

about what it will be like to have a little ...... aha! almost got me!
Yep. Smalls has been on my mind.

Feeling

Had a random day of heartburn. Hello old friend. Otherwise feeling fine and kicky.
Getting a bit nervous about swollen feet, water retention, feeling like a beached whale that I remember from last time.
My bump is emerging... slowly...ish.

Doing

Still wearing my jeans. I feel an odd sense of pride till I remember you are supposed to not fit into your jeans when with child. Still feels good.
Watched a video with my mama about skin to skin in the first hour. It made me swoon for a newborn. And a natural birth this time pretty please.

Thinking

So glad the weather forecast for summer has changed. Goodbye stinker, hello La Niña.
I'm also thinking about boy names. It's ridiculously hard to choose. I'm looking forward to finding out one way or another so we can keep figuring it out or not worry.

it's actually closer to seventeen but oh well.

feeling...

smalls move! some small bubble pops and then definite movement. One night it felt like smalls was sitting right high on my tummy it was all popped out and moving. Seriously awesome.
I had my first midwife appointment and she said she couldn't use the doppler so this bit of movement makes me feel a whole lot better.

doing

getting into exercise. I'm really struck by how unfit I am and how much I need to be ready for the marathon that is childbirth. I always intended to get back into shape before getting pregnant but kinda missed my chance. I'm not intending to run kilometers but just feel more confident about going the labour distance. I'm also looking into VBAC classes. My hospital doesn't run them so I'm on the lookout.

thinking

or not! I keep having pregnancy moments. Feeling quite happy about calling it baby brain but I have my suspicions it might just be me.
It's so different this time round. Two years ago my thoughts were consumed by Lucy but now, I sometimes forget I'm pregnant. Especially when about to put my mouth around a ham sandwich or something.

My belly button has gone round again which was the first way I was showing last time.
My tummy feels different. Smalls is the size of a kiwi fruit so I'm sure thats definitely on schedule. It feels like there is something going on in there.

Eating
Still not back up to my former appetite.
We found the best burger place on our street and went there on my birthday. There are moments when I really feel like a burger but I'm not sure it can be classified as a craving.
Not really any aversions. I keep forgetting I'm pregnant and "should" have them.

Thinking
About how the little (very jealous of other babies) one is going to go when smalls gets lots of special mama cuddles and how I can prevent the sadness.
Glad to be in trimester two. It's going so fast!

He hears. He answers.

There have been so many beautiful things about the news of our little Smalls.
Things that make me weep and laugh.
Things that make me stand in awe of how lucky I am.

But I know it isn't luck. It's not by chance that I am where I am.

You might know our story.
We were told it was unlikely we would have children but because we were young there was more hope.
I cried for the children I thought I may never hold.
I cried out to God, not to give me what I wanted but to make me content with what I got.
I asked him first to make me content and then I told him the desires of my heart.

And that good God, He listened.
He listened.
And listened.

When I felt as though I was speaking into a void, He listened.
Biding his time. Waiting for the right moment.

And then, He answered. At youth camp. Two pink lines. A ray of hope. A little one to call my own.
She grew, and grew, and grew and I felt the tug once more.
Could I be lucky again?
But I know it isn't luck. It's not by chance that I am where I am.

I cried and I wept and I pleaded.
I forgot.
I forgot about the last time when He listened and listened.
I forgot about the last time when he heard and answered. When he stilled my aching heart and gave me hope.
I forgot that He knows good and He knows me better than I do.

But.
Once again. He answered. At youth camp. Two pink lines. A ray of hope. A small one to call my own.

How I sat in awe of His goodness. His goodness to silly old me who forgot.
Silly old me who pleaded like a child who had never seen goodness before.
But he hears. He listens. He delights in answering us.

A prayer for that night.
You hear your little children.
Thankyou God, for answering our prayers.

here's looking at you kid

Here are the first pictures of our Smalls.

Doesn't that little cloudy mass of sweet baby just warm the cockles of your heart?
Just me?

We went along to our first ultrasound thinking we were almost eight weeks along and found out we were only six weeks and four days. Which puts Smalls due date the day before Lucys.
I'm thinking March is going to become the party month!

All is well so far. I was pretty glad there is only one small fry in there. I kept having images of twins. Doable but a bit full on.

One little dancing panda baby.

Flashbacks

With a sick baby asleep upstairs I'm sitting here reading some old blog posts, thinking of her and wanting to go give her a big cuddle.

If you'd like to come with me down memory lane here is what I'm reading.

On the Ledge

40 Weeks

Dear little one...

Exciting days I tell ya!
