Feeling
Good! It's warming up, the birds are singing and the world is a happier sunnier place.
I feel like I'm starting to show but am not convinced its not cake.
My belly button has gone round again which was the first way I was showing last time.
My tummy feels different. Smalls is the size of a kiwi fruit so I'm sure thats definitely on schedule. It feels like there is something going on in there.

Eating
Still not back up to my former appetite.
We found the best burger place on our street and went there on my birthday. There are moments when I really feel like a burger but I'm not sure it can be classified as a craving.
Not really any aversions. I keep forgetting I'm pregnant and "should" have them.

Thinking
About how the little (very jealous of other babies) one is going to go when smalls gets lots of special mama cuddles and how I can prevent the sadness.
Glad to be in trimester two. It's going so fast!

What's up?

I'm finding it hard to get regular posts up lately so I thought I'd try a new style of post called "what's up" where I share all the goings on for when many many things have been going on.

So. What's up?

It's spring and I just celebrated my birthday. We had a dumpling party.

I've got some new summery dresses to accommodate my soon to be ginormous tummy.
Also, Myl got me a new fancy pants camera and after trawling the Internet I finally found it's instruction guide. I'll soon be taking fabulous photos to share with you all.

We had five days of holiday at my parents house.
Sweet comfort.
Happy birthday dad!
Lucy learnt to say "Molly outside." Molly is the dog.

I had my first and second nights away from my little girl. I did some ugly crying the hour before I left but had a great weekend and Lucy had a busy but fun one. She collapsed into my arms on Sunday night.

I spent the weekend at Womens Katoomba Convention and was really challenged to think about what I desire.
I've been encouraged to trust in God and that it's ok to let the washing pile up sometimes. More on this later perhaps.

I also bought a heckofalotta wool for 20c a ball. Win!

I may be crazy but I'm starting to toilet train Lucy. I bought her a pack of "big girl undies" and on day two it hasn't been great but it hasn't been awful.

We've just started term 4 at college which means the year is nearly over. I feel like there are a zillion things to do but my favourite place remains to be snuggled up for naptime with this little badoo.

Betts

A few weeks ago Lucy and I were invited to the Betts kids spring launch.
So along we went with two of our friends to The Bucket List at Bondi beach.

It was a beautiful morning with tasty food and gorgeous shoes.
Lucy was given some shoes to take home and she loves them. She points to them and says "flower."

Betts carry a wide range of kids shows from pre walker to pre teen in boys and girls. If they made them a little bigger I'd certainly wear the fluro girls sandals.

We took part in the photo booth but Lucy was doing her best frankie magazine pose and would not smile till I blew raspberries on her tummy.

For some great looking comfortable shoes for the spring/summer check out their website.

Overnight

This weekend I'm going away with a few friends.
I'll be leaving my little girl and her dada home alone.
While I'm completely convinced of Myl's ability to sustain the life of another person, I'm going to be a big ole wreck come Sunday.
It's my first time away overnight from this little kiddo ever.

She'll be fine.
I'll be fine.
We're all going to have a great time.

Day for happy fathers.

As I write this post, a man is upstairs with a little awake girl. He is patiently lying and waiting for her to go to sleep.

He is her dada.
And my husband.
He is a superhero.

The love I have for him when I see the love he has for our little one is enormous.
It's my favourite role of his by far.
I swoon as I watch them read books together her head nestled in that little spot where it fits on his chest.
My heart aches when I see them laugh together. Playing tigers, tickles, peek a boo.
I feel excited to see this man as a father of two. Twice the love.

I could go on and on.

It's a joy to parent with you my love. You are a keeper and a real fine dada.

Happy Fathers Day.*

I know it's not technically today but we celebrated it because Sunday is a work day.
